WOLLONGONG – 29TH MAY
We had been invited to go to see the friends we had made (well that Daisy had made!) They live in a place called Wollongong which is about 2 ½ hours south of Sydney. They had also been travelling around for 7 weeks and only got back on the Saturday.
As they were back to work and school on the Monday and we were leaving on the Wednesday, Sunday was the only day we could meet up which was bad timing but we went down anyway. After having a coffee and a chat, we all went out for lunch. They live in a place called Shell Harbour.
I had seen a place called Kiami which has a ‘blowhole’ where the sea crashes through the rocks to form a giant spray like a whales blow hole. We noticed it was south of them but didn’t think we would get a chance to visit it.
Fortunately, the place we went for lunch was at Kiami so we were able to see it, which was great.

Heidi and Mark told us that it doesn’t always ‘blow’ so they were hoping that it would for us today.
As we walked up there, there was an almighty ‘blow’ which was fab. We stayed there for about 20 minutes trying to get a good photo which proved easier said than done!!
